Built in 2010 and finished in 2011, the four-storey villa is set on 725 sqm land. Giant bamboo Petung (about 25 cm in diameter) is used as the support of the house anchored in the rock. Floors, beams, staircases, frames are all made of bamboo from various sizes and designs. The cathedral high ceiling brings air into the whole building and the open plan concept facilitates cross breeze ventilation. Highly professional craftsmanship is evident throughout the villa from the round rotating glass door framed by bamboo, the curved roof, woven bamboo walls and floor made of split bamboo.
The villa unfolds from the top floor to the bottom floor with layered gables replicating the spirals within a shell. The top floor is the study/office room with 360-degree views; the floor below is the library/tv room with air conditioning, on the ground floor are the kitchen and living areas together with a powder room and laundry room. The lower levels contain 3 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with air conditioning and enjoying open views across the lush green of the garden and beyond.
The garden has a plunge pool, vegetable plot, wetland, and mature trees. There is additional storage above the allocated carport.
